If you're reading this, you probably know me (I'm not very good at SEO so I am assuming this won't reach many strangers.) But if by some miracle you don't know me, my name is Ryan DePaolo and I am a fashion designer who is trying to start her own business. Since I was little, I have always dreamt of having my own brand and in the almost two years since I graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology, I have been trying to turn that dream into a reality.

This is me! The girl behind the sewing machine!

I am mainly starting this blog to hold myself accountable and share the progress I make, little by little, day by day, until I have a successful fashion brand. My niche has always been dainty yet structural things, and I have found my way into the world of lingerie and bridal design, fields that I am truly so passionate about. The process of starting my own brand, while rewarding, has been extremely overwhelming and slow moving. I think a lot of times, people see these 'influencer' brands all over social media and think that starting a business will be as quick as a snap of your fingers, when in reality, it is anything but. Sometimes it feels like, with every step forward, comes three steps back. With all that being said, 2026 is the year things change. 2026 is the year where my brand will gain its footing, and finally take real strides in being the successful brand I dreamt about as an eight year old who had just found her love of sewing and designing.

This is my brand, Ryan DePaolo Designs! Make sure to check it out!

On this blog, I plan to share a variety of things, from my latest design projects, to technical experiments, sewing tutorials as well as custom projects I am creating for clients. I hope that by sharing my intense love for what I do, I will be able to connect with likeminded individuals as well as further grow my brand.

I know this first post doesn't have much substance, but if you made it this far, I appreciate your support and I am so excited to continue this journey! I truly hope you follow along, and if you are interested in seeing more of what I do, I will link my socials down below - I'd love if you gave me a follow! If there is anything specific you would like to see on this blog, let me know in the comments and I will be sure to make a post! Thanks for checking me out!

xoxo Ryan

You go this, Ryan. Your dedication inspiring. I truly believe in manifestation and speaking your dreams into reality. I also believe in working your ass off for what you want to achieve. You have what it takes and it may be really hard, but you can do hard things. Dad and I will always be right by your side to support you in any way you need. ❤️
