Capstone: Up in Flames

Every year, graduating AAS students are tasked with creating a Capstone project, a culmination of all we have learned thus far in our fashion design education. My assigned theme was "Empire State of Mind." I was inspired by the parts of the city that reminds me of those I love: fire trucks. Instead of taking my inspiration literally, I aimed to create a garment that moved like liquid flame, organic and natural, shimmering in the light.
